Hi, this is a temporary page which I really hope won't be here too long! I apologise for it's presence.
If you are a return visitor, both of my web sites will in future be at this URL, (address). The story is the greed and inflexibility of my previous web host. They wanted to charge me more for doing nothing extra, and I wanted to do some experimenting with web programming which they said I couldn't do. Both of these actions failed to impress me. I have now registered my own domain, (which if you are reading this, you already know of course!), and have alternative hosting arrangements. As time permits, I will reload the contents of the two old sites onto this one. I had planned to make the changes to the sites, (see below), and have all of that ready before the previous hosting arrangements fell through. The fact that you are reading this is indication of my failure so to do! Fact is, I thought I would have a lot of free time Q1 2003, which has majestically failed to appear, hence this page.
The old personal site I will update with some newer pictures, (some of the "recent" pictures on the old site were 5+ years old!), and some new topics. It is hard to believe the amount things have changed in Denmark during the last 5 years - the site clearly needed some work!
The software site also was showing it's age. Whilst the tutorials were pretty popular, I was getting more and more feedback asking, for example, "what is printf()". The fact is the tutorials and examples were written a long time ago and used many C constructions rather than C++. The vast majority of people using the tutorials are students/beginners using C++ and they want to cout! As a result, I am trying to update them to use C++ constructions, although I will without doubt miss a few, truth be told, I still use printf() when knocking up a quick console app to try something, hell, doing the same thing with cout and manipulators means horizontal scrolling or multiple lines! Anyone needing software help should go here. If the FAQ or tutorials there don't help, ask on one of the message boards.

Sometime today, be unnecessarily, and unexpectedly nice to a stranger. When everyone starts doing that, life might just get a little better.
